Happy Holidays!

Free Zwarte Piet (Black Pete)

So after a long journey thru the UK and Europe we are all at home enjoying the holidays with our families. Thanks to everyone who came out the the shows and had a good time with us. Also thanks to all of the people that came thru for us in the clutch (Stan, Tom and Ross just to name a few). We are going to be taking some time off to gear up for the release of Eyes and Nines in the spring but if you live on the west coast (best coast) come check us out on selected dates of the Economy Sucks Tour. Shame pre-orders should be shipping soon, I'm still waiting for them to arrive at my door. See you soon!

Good News/Bad News!

Last night in Birmingham after our show with Set Your Goals, Broadway Calls and Fireworks we kinda got robbed. On the walk from the venue to the van our merch guy, Shaun, got his bag snatched containing his laptop, journal, and all of our tour cash... Whoever grabbed it is going to be high for weeks so smoke one for us yo!

The good news is that we are still kicking. We have a show in London tonight at the Buffalo Bar with some really great bands. If you are in the area come hang out and buy us a beer or two, we could really use it. This is our last show in the UK before we head over to Ireland tomorrow and then to mainland Europe for a few days. Lets make these last few days a blast!

12/15/09 - London @ Buffalo Bar
12/16/09 - Dublin @ Exchange (Ireland)
12/17/09 - Gent @ The Frontline (Belgium)
12/18/09 - Tilburg @ Little Devil (Netherlands)
12/19/09 - Exil @ Neustad an der Orla (Germany)
12/20/09 - Matrix @ Bochum (Germany)

A quick report from da british roadwayz

I am currently in Falmouth(UK) sitting in the back room of the venue we are playing with Gallows and Sharks tonight. This town is pretty cool. I haven't gotten to see much of it yet but right when we got here our roadie(Nick Fit) and I went exploring. After trekking for about ten minutes through a dark winding garden we got spit out onto a beach front street looking out over the ocean. I don't know if I could really call it a beach it was more like a bunch of rocks and coral reef surrounding the waters edge. I'm not complaining though it looked insane. The view comes complete with a lighthouse and a lit up castle on the hill. I'm stoked for the show tonight. All of these shows on this tour have been awesome in one way or another. Last night in Exeter we played a college campus. The place was full of heckling college students. Right when we stepped on stage there was one guy who could not stop screaming random bullshit. My english friend told me to go out and tell him to pipe down and then call him a daft cunt. The insult worked quite well for a little bit even if I didn't really know what I was saying. The same guy who was screaming kept coming up front and grabbing me. I ended up securing the mic cable around his neck and pulling him over the barrier by his throat. Usually you would think this is something that would bum someone out pretty bad but all it did was fuel this guys fire. He got more pumped and grabbed the mic and just started screaming. Exeter was a real bizzare place. I can't wait to make it back there. I almost forgot.. we got a new driver today. His name is Stan. He seems cool but we are going to miss our road dog Deanwolf. Hopefully we will be crossing paths with him sooner than later. He is probably the best driver we have ever had over here in euroland. Well that's all I got for right now. I can hear the other guys sound checking their guitars so that means I gotta go grab the mic and figure out what's going on. Check back on the blog soon I promise we will be posting more. The last few weeks have just been hectic. Hope all is well. See you soon.

P.S. Go pick up the new Rock Sound, NME and Front Mags that are out now. We are scattered throughout those this week with reviews of our new record "Shame"(Hassle Records) and some other cool stuff. Go check it out if you can.

UK Style

'Ello World! Today marks the second day of our United Kingdom barnstorming sessions with Gallows and Sharks. Check out the dates and come party with us! We feel a little left out being that we have a two word name, but I think we'll be alright. Last night's gig set the tone for a fun-filled few weeks and we can't wait to get back on stage and piss off more limey "sound engineers." So far the food we've consumed on this UK excursion has gone above and beyond any and all foodstuffs we've encountered on previous trips across the pond. Let's hope it continues on the up and up. Thanks to those of you who pre-ordered the vinyl version of Shame from TTC. They will be shipped once we get back to the Best Coast of the best country in the free world: the good ol' USA.

(No) Peace,
Spen

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES

First off, sorry for lagging on the blog updates. The last few weeks have been super hectic. Don't worry though! There is tons of new shit going on in the TT camp. So let's get started...

SHAME(Trash Talk Collective/Hassle Records)

We have a new CD titled "Shame" that just came out today in the UK on our new home over there.. Hassle Records. Shame is a 30 Track Double Disc CD containing 4 of our previous releases(Walking Disease *Sold Out*, Plagues *Sold Out*, S/T *Sold Out* and East Of Eden *Sold Out*). Instead of repressing all of those records separately we decided it would be better to just throw them all on one release. Hassle has a CD/T shirt bundle for this release available for order on their website. Check it out: Hassle Records The vinyl version of "Shame" is now up for pre order through our label(Trash Talk Collective) on our website. Check it out: Shame Vinyl Pre Order The vinyl version of this release comes with HQ-180 gram vinyl, album footnotes, a full size poster and tons of extras. Pick it up now while you can! They are going fast.

UK tour with Gallows & Sharks/Mainland Euro shows starts soon

We are leaving for the UK in a few days. This year has been insane with traveling. It feels like we are flying out of the country every other week. We aren't complaining though. We can't wait to get back to the UK and experience a real cold winter. California is not even close to as cold during November/December. We are going to be over there for Thanksgiving.. Someone hook us up with a hot home made meal so we can feel like we aren't missing out on that much back in the states. The first show of our UK tour is on Nov 25th(The day before we start our UK tour with Gallows/Sharks) at The Barfly in Camden. The show is FUCKED UP/TRASH TALK/THROATS/Gallows DJing the after party. You should come out to the show if you live in the London area. It's going to be a wild one. We will also be playing a few of our own headlining shows in the UK on our days off from the Gallows/Sharks tour. One of those shows is the Rock Sound Magazine/Hassle Records/Holy Roar Records Christmas Party on Dec 15th at The Buffalo Bar in London. Rumor has it if you dress up like Santa you will be blessed with some pretty cool shit. Make it happen. After all of that UK wildness we will be making a stop in Ireland for one show in Dublin then we're off to the Mainland to play four shows. All of the dates/details for that tour are below:

And last but not least we just finished recording a new LP..

So one of the many reasons we have been off the grid lately is because we have been locked up in the studio with Joby Ford working on our new LP titled "Eyes & Nines". The record is now in the mixing stages and should be done pretty soon. We are all really stoked on this record. It's been awhile since we released our last LP so we have been itching to get out a new full release. I know everyone always says this but this is our best shit to date. There are tons of crazy suprises/wild shit going on all over it. I posted some photos while we were in the studio on our twitter. Check those out and follow us for updates on everything. This record will be out sometime early next year. Keep your eyes and ears open for more details on that as they come in...

That's all we have for right now. If you live in Europe we will be seeing you within the next few weeks. If you live in the U.S./Australia/New Zealand/Japan/Hella other places you'll have to wait till next year. Hope all is well. Over & out.

Love always,

Euro Updates and Endnotes

Yet another tour has come to an end, and like usual, there are plenty of other surprises lined up. Big ups to Bane and Foundation for lettin us party the West Coast with 'em. Check out those dudes as they continue their tour back to the second best coast. Thanks to those of you who came out to the early gig in Seattle at Inner City Empire, to Book of Black Earth for shredding the garage with us, and to Zach/Zlog for puttin on the alleycat that served as a reason for JR to throw a bitchin party. Salinas was an awesome show especially after the radiator hijinks that kept us from catching any part of the show other than our set. Our apologies for any other tardy appearances over the past week and a half. The engine coolant industry is loving us about now. Once again we got trashed in Vegas and ran amuck all hours of the night, only to reach the hotel room in staggered intervals just before sunrise. Don't ask, we won't tell. You know about what happens there...

Attention Florida and hardcore festival goers, we're gonna be playing The Fest in Gainesville on Sunday, November 1st at Market Street Pub with Asshole Parade, Deep Sleep, Comadre, Vicious Cycle, Ampere and others.

And if you can't make it that far East, come check out the afterparty we're playing on Saturday, November 7th for Fun Fun Fun Festival in Austin. That show's gonna be wild: Negative Approach and Christ on Parade at Red 7? You're not gonna want to miss this.

If you don't know yet, we're heading overseas to do a UK tour with Gallows and Sharks later in November. We've just added some headlining shows to our existing UK dates and a few for you mainlanders too. Check 'em out:

12/01/2009 - Glasgow @ 13th Note
12/06/2009 - Leeds @ TBA
12/11/2009 - Ipswitch @ TBA
12/15/2009 - London @ The Buffalo Bar
12/16/2009 - Dublin @ TBA (Ireland)*
12/17/2009 - Gent @ The Frontline (Belgium)*
12/18/2009 - Tilburg @ Little Devil (Netherlands)*
12/20/2009 - Bochum @ Matrix (Germany)*

Until then, I'll see you in the funny papers.

Tour is almost over... Weed coma..

This shit has been insane. For starters on the 2nd day into tour we got asked to play someone's going away to prison show at 10 AM on a Saturday morning in Portland, OR. We showed up at 9:30 AM and played for about an hour to the 15 people that were actually there that early. After our set we were paid in weed. Way too much weed. Actually what am I talking about? There is no such thing as too much weed. I'm not gonna say how much we got but just know this.. we still have a few ounces left haha. Hopefully the guy who was going to prison had a good time. Good luck in there. After our 10 AM show we made our way up to Seattle to play our friends ( www.zlogblog.com ) bike race. It was a rager. Tons of people came out to hang, ride bikes, listen to music and tap the kegs. Book Of Black Earth was gnarly. After the Northwest shows we made our way down to the best state in America(California.. Obviously)to get wild on our home turf. These California shows have been fucking awesome. It's been awhile since we have done a west coast tour so it's been rad to see so many familiar faces that we haven't seen in awhile. We played Las Vegas last night. The show was a banger. A lot of money was thrown around the casinos last night. Some people won big some people lost big. It happens. Fuck it. That's all I got for right now. We gotta check out of this hotel and make our way over to Anaheim. We are playing Chain Reaction tonight w/ Bane, Foundation and Rotting Out. You should come out to the gig if you are in the area. We haven't played Chain in forever. Last time we played that venue there were way too many broken bones after the show. See you tonight! Hope all is well.

This past weekend..

..was wild to say the least. The Portland show with Despise You, Crom and Dr. Loomis was a great way to kick off a wild weekend of coast hopping. Despise You murdered it. It was my 2nd time seeing them in the past few months and they ripped. During our set at the show in Portland I dove off of the stage and landed on a girl knocking her out. I didn't notice anyone got knocked out until I got back to the stage and saw people carrying someone out of the building. Right when I saw that I had my friend run outside to make sure everything was okay and the person was doing well. He came back and told me that everything is okay and the girl is awake and doing good. I said sorry on stage at the show and had everyone give it up for her being conscious and feeling better. I couldn't find the girl who it was after the show so I figured I'd post here and say sorry for that. It was a total accident and not intentional at all. I've been knocked out way too many times at shows and it isn't fun at all so I hope she is doing fine and back in good health. After our show at Satyricon in Portland we had to drive to straight to Seattle to catch our 5am flight over to Boston. After a quick layover in Philly we finally made it Boston about 2 hours before we had to hit the stage. We all felt like real deal zombies but Boston didn't disappoint. Kids were flying everywhere. The fest was fucking rad. It felt good to be back on the east coast even if it was only for a few hours. Here are some photo's from our set at the fest check em out: http://www.flickr.com/photos/futurebreed/sets/72157622297828695/ Shout outs to KM and everyone who helped put it together. Hopefully we can make it back out there next year for the fest again. That's all I got for now. The next 9 days of my life will be spent roaming around Portland, OR with my good pal Scuba Steve. If see us in the streets say what's up. Let's do something.

Over and out.

End of Tour

Tour has finally come to an end. The past twenty-some-odd days have been an amazing blur of events; a swirling amalgam of European countrysides, cityscape, and alleyways spent on van seats, stages and floor spaces. My battered body is thankful for the respite, yet I still can't believe this adventure has come to and end. We're gonna be hangin out in Amsterdam, devouring the sights and sounds for a couple of days, so if you're out here, hit us up. Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows over the last few weeks, you made this tour one to remember. To those of you in the UK, we hope to see you this Fall when we come back out with Gallows. We've also got some festivals coming up in the states. You can check out all of those dates here.

Here are some pictures from our show in Kingston at the Fighting Cocks:

...and a video from Ieperfest

If you missed them at Sound & Fury, our first book, Collective: Volume 1, is now up in our webstore. The book is over 100 pages of stories, pictures, interviews, artwork and more, compiled from a group of our friends submissions. Below are some photos of the book. Thanks Jason.

I know you've heard it before, but thanks for holding tight while waiting on your merch orders. We'll be back later this week to speed up the never-ending shipping process. Thanks for understanding.

Nottingham Sans Sherriff

Space Jam's on the telly, Thrasher: Skate & Destroy's in the PS2 tray, and my head's filled with cobwebs and the last lingering bubbles from last night's cider filled pre-birthday celebration. Between ciders and doobies, we managed to play a set at Nottingham, England's Old Angel Inn. Despite the inconveniences of the mildly wet, dual landing stair sets we had to fight to load in (big ups to Closure for letting us use cabs) , the show went off surprisingly well. The set was a fun-filled, sweat and no tears extravaganza marked by a one man wet t-shirt contest, front flips straight to the floor, mouth-fulls of Limey fingers, christ-like hovering , and much more. Just before load out, the scene was set: Scattered amongst battered beer cans and cocktail spills, waffled footprints led in all directions, giving indication of the melee that had just occurred. A good mopping later, none wil be the wiser.

We are currently in the UK...

and it fucking rules. We always have a great time here. Our first UK show kicked off on Sunday at The Underworld with Reagan Youth and it was a raging party. Our good friends in The Bronx just so happened to be in London too so they came out and we turned the streets of Camden into our own personal pub. You can't ask for a better time than that. We played Huddersfield last night and chairs/speakers were flying everywhere. A few lads were sent off to the hospital to get stitched up. I think the pub was a little bummed out on all the broken shit but it turned out okay in the end. We are currently in Leeds getting ready to make our trek down south to Newport. The last time we were in Newport we made friends with the bartender at The Pub and stayed there all night with Paint It Black drinking every kind of alcohol we could find. Andy Nelson ended up driving a girls car around town on the wrong side of the street and hitting curbs along the way(and he was the sober one). It was a wild night to say the least. We ended up at someones parents house in the country side having a good old fashioned english breakfast served up by a kind english mother in the morning. It was a great time. Let's hope Newport gets wild like that again tonight. We are playing TJ's. Come out and hang. We have a few copies of the UK press of our East Of Eden single 7" with us but they are going fast. Try to snag one of those if you can. ..

Hope all is well. See you soon!

p.s. UK, where is the weed at?

Snapshot of Berlin

Tonight, an ongoing tour joke became a reality. Ver ist ze money, Lebowski?

Here I sit, enjoying a delightfully chilled bottle of Berliner Pilsner in Lebowski, a not-so nihilistic bar located in Berlin's cozy and cafe riddled Freidrichshain district. I'm a little stoned and vibing to "Wild Child" by The Doors blasting from well hidden overhead speakers.

The walls are adorned with Big Lebowski memorabilia and photos of patrons and cast members, though not together. Above the bar bowling shoes hang, laces tied, like so many Chuck Taylors back home. A psychedelic, skeletal, caricature of The Dude himself graces the inner door jam, keeping watch over the barkeep and me from behind aviator shades. Ver ist ze money, Lebowski? I've just spotted one of the well concealed speakers, delicately tucked behind a 10lb. bowling ball, literally smashing five bowling pins. Twine and small loops (think fishing hooks) are the lone buffer between the presumably heavy display of art and the nearest bar stool.

Aside from the language barrier, this bar seems American. A friend once told me it was the subtle differences that make foreign countries great. He's right, i just spotted a Social Distortion poster.

The soundtrack for my short stay in Lebowski has been:
The Doors - Wild Child
Sublime - Johnny Butt
Peter Tosh - Legalize It
The Doors - Alabama Song
Jimi Hendrix - Castles of Sand

If Ipods had existed then, my mp3 device in 8th grade could have easily conjured a similar playlist on a trip through shuffle... just sayin.

No peace,

Spen

Guten Tag!

I wasn't certain the day would come, but on Thursday August 7, 2009, Spencer Louis Pollard was granted permission by issuing authorities to leave the United States of America. At roughly 7:50 am, Northwest Transatlantic Flight 52 touched down on the tarmac of Frankfurt, Germany. This was finally it. On my band's third trip to Europe, I made my first. After a disorienting stagger through customs, we forged our way to the baggage carousel to await multiple ill-packed, merch-filled duffel bags and our hopefully still intact guitars. Within the half hour we found ourselves outside and piling into our rented Sprinter, exchanging broken greetings with our driver, Michael. Shortly thereafter we hit the bricks to Amsterdam before having to make the 45 minute jaunt to Arnheim. While in Amsterdam, I was given an impromptu crash course of the city's unconventional tourist attractions. Hello heaven.

To everyone who's waiting on our mailorder, thanks for being patient. We sold out of several designs and they're being reprinted and shipped out now. Thanks for bearing with us. East of Eden is in, and will be available August 24th from Holy Roar Records so cruise on over to their website to pick one up while you still can. Check it out...

Sirens & Fury.. Our European tour starts this Friday...

This past weekend was rad. Our set at Sound & Fury on Sunday night ended with cops surrounding the front of the building, various objects flying through the sky, and a girl jumping off the roof of the fest. The Uhaul place didn't even notice that their truck was covered in foot prints from people climbing up it and flipping off of it when we returned it the next day. Shout outs to Riley, Bob and Todd for letting us get loud in the parking lot and everyone else for sticking around and groovin with us. We had a blast. Hopefully no one got too fucked up. Right now we are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a record that we have been recording for the past week or so. Keep your eyes and ears open for more details on that coming soon. We are leaving for Europe this week. Our first show is on Friday in the Netherlands. We will be playing shows all over Europe for the next three weeks. If we are playing in your area you should come out and hang. We want to go and do things/see stuff. We haven't been over to Europe in about a year so it's time to get wild.

UPDATE 7/27

Salutations from the Big Game Lodge! We're gearing up for day number two in the studio and you know we're cooking up some fire for you. The heat outside is pretty ridiculous, but the plush interior of the spot is keeping us sheltered from that mess. Sound and Fury is coming up this weekend, be sure to stop by the TTC table to check out the wares. We're gonna have a ton of surprises throughout the weekend so don't get caught sleeping. We finally have a new webstore up and running and this time around we've got a staff on deck to help us get your items out swiftly. You can expect your orders to be processed within 48 hours. Thanks for being patient on your previous orders from TTC. We greatly appreciate you sticking by us while we've been working out the bugs. To those of you who missed out in March, the sold out East of Eden single is being repressed in the UK by our friends at Holy Roar. Pre-orders for the limited run, colored vinyl repress are available now so don't miss it again.

No peace,

Sweatin to the hits...

Carl's garage has been on fire and the neighbors are starting to stop by to exchange words... and the reviews are good. Earlier today, while running through the intro to a song for an upcoming release on TTC (duh), we were interrupted by fervent knocking. The interloper was an ex-marine who was surprised to find a "brotha" like him "rockin it like that." He alleges to play saxophone and piano and proposed a collaboration. I'm thinking no...

The songs for our upcoming EP are nearly finished. Good thing too, since we're hitting the studio on the 26th.

If you live in Sacto and can hear us, bring some food by will ya?

3313.80 miles...

We are currently sitting in a hot apartment in Chicago, IL. We traveled here from NYC last night after a fun filled night of fireworks, music, drinks and friends. Now we are getting ready to get back in the van and finish the rest of this drive across the US of A back to the great state of California. It's crazy to think about how many miles we have traveled in a van together. I wish I would have kept track of the number. Tour ended 2 days ago in NYC. Thanks to all the punks, skins, crusties, hardcore kids and whatever other kind of freak you can think of that came out to any of the shows on our last tour. It was a blast. Extra big thanks to The Casualties and Leftover Crack for making every night a wild one. Tour was great but it's been awhile since we have been back in our home state. I can't wait to get back to California and do the most summer things possible. BBQ's, rivers, cliffs, movies, adult beverages and hang with friends just to name a few. We have tons of NEW stuff coming up soon in the Trash Talk camp that will make your head spin so keep checking back for updates. I believe Slayer is playing at the Sleep Train Amphitheater this Friday in Sacramento. If you live in the area you should definitely try to make it out. Hopefully I'll see you there.

That's all for now. Hope everyone is having a great summer. See you soon.

Hurricanes and Handgrenades

The last few shows of this tour have been the hottest shows I have ever played in my life. The Pharaoh's Den heat has nothing on Sluggos heat. I felt like my arms were coming closer to melting every time I hit a drum or cymbal. Props to those who came out to the hottest shows in the world, Sluggos in Pensacola and The Dragon's Den in New Orleans. Both shows were awesome. We are driving to Houston today to start the Texan portion of the tour. We are playing some cities we havnt played before. We are all siked, Texas is always a great time!

Now here is a top ten things that currently rule for you :

1. Summertime.
2. Drunk bear at the pool in NOLA who pulled his wang out then fell asleep.
3. Hand Grenades
4. Vegan pastrami ruben and vegan cheesy mashed potatoes from Sluggos kitchen... fucking unreal good.
5. The Casualties' merch guy Johnny's hair. that's him.Sexy.
6. Brad Logan.
7. NOLA Voo Doo shops.
8. Raw Nerves from Portland, OR
9. Extortion from Perth, Australia
10. Birthdays on the road.

FLORIDA WEATHER.. EAST OF EDEN 7"=SHIPPED/FREE DOWNLOAD..

We are in Florida right now and its crazy hot. It's a different kind of hot than we are used to in California. Everything is sticky and you can't escape the heat. The best part about this heat is it makes everyone want to hit the pool non stop. We just got done having a nice morning time pool party. The last few days here have been rad. Thanks to anyone who came out to any of the FL shows.. Hopefully we can make it back down here soon. Now it's time to head to New Orleans. None of us have ever been out that way before so it's party time. After New Orleans we will be spending a few days in the great state of Texas. Hopefully we will be seeing you if you live in the area. For anyone wondering what's up with our new single 7" East Of Eden it has shipped and is now available for free download. We are seriously super sorry for the delay on getting this out to you guys. We had a lot of mix ups at the pressing plant and it took longer than expected to get everything together but everything is good now and it is on it's way to your door step. You can download the single from our myspace or our website at the East of Eden link for FREE. We also have a new lyrics page on our site for all of you mushmouthers. Thanks for your continuous support. It means a lot.

The South.. VA/NC/GA..

The last few days have been crazy to say the least. The show at The Norva in Norfolk, VA was rad. We have never been to that part of Virginia before so it was good to finally get out there. Punks, Skins and Hardcore kids slammed around together. The way it should be. The venue we played at was on some next level shit. None of us have ever seen anything like that in our lives. They had a three story backstage area fully equipped with a hot tub, sauna, big screen tv's, plush chilling areas, a basketball court and a million other things that a venue should not have. Of course we took full advantage of all of that. Did some cannon balls into the hot tub and beat the shit out of the casualties/leftover crack in basketball. Go team TT. After the show in Norfolk we packed up the gear and our roady Nick Fit held down the drive through out the night to Charlotte, NC. We had a big day ahead of us in Charlotte. Garrett's brother Corey was getting married. It's weird how it worked out so perfect. The day we play Charlotte, NC his brother just so happens to be getting married in that city. We got into Charlotte at around 9 am but there was no time to sleep. We had a wedding to set up haha. We turned into wedding decorators and caterers in the blink of an eye. Bartender Spencer was serving up the drinks all day long. The wedding was awesome and we got to meet ALL of Garrett's family which was rad. We all had a blast. Shout outs to the newly weds. After the wedding we played a show at the Tremont in Charlotte. We hadn't played NC in a little over a year so we were all eager to gig. The show went off. There was a tiny barrier but it didn't seem to matter. Who can't jump over a 3 foot gap? Our homie Memphis came out to party. It was good seeing him. It's been awhile. After the gig we did the usual Waffle House stop and then made our way back to Corey's house to pass out after our long day of being wedding planners/a band. We had the day after the Charlotte show off so we just chilled out and tried to catch up on some much needed rest. After the sleepathon we made our way down to ATL for our show at The Masquerade. Trash Talk has played The Masq before at the Scion Metal Fest but I had to sit that one out due to having my knee cap broken in half so it was cool to finally make it there. The show went off. Security didn't really know what to do. It was a good one. One thing that I always remember about ATL is that it is way too fucking hot. We are from California where it is also a million degrees in the summer but this is some next level shit. ATL hot is the kind of hot that makes you want to die. The Leftover Crack set last night was hilarious. Sturgeon was hammered and his stage antics were at an all time high. We love Atlanta and we can't wait to get back. Right now I'm sitting on the floor getting ready to head out to Jacksonville, FL for our show their tonight. We haven't been to FL in awhile so it's time to party. More updates/stories from the road coming soon. Keep checking back. Come out to a show and say what's up. Let's get weird. See you soon.

Punx & Skinz

Greetings from Richmond, VA! Tonight we head over to Norfolk for the third night of our current tour with Leftover Crack and The Casualties. I have a feeling that the gutters and alleyways of the east coast and continental south will be littered with mohawk'd teens in $5 TT gear before this tour is out. Sam may even join them in their respective drunken stupors, and kinda already has. Up the punx! We're glad to have NickFit back in the Trojan horse that is our rented tour van and not just for his obvious role as designated driver. Though the east coast is treating us well for the moment, I can't help but miss that Cali herb. No mids, no sticks, no seeds, no peace.

Baltimore City.. Stay Cold..

I am currently sitting on a porch in Baltimore. The weather is a cool 78 degrees with a nice breeze. This city rules. Yesterday was a blast. As we were making the drive from Columbus, OH to Baltimore I made a few calls to the Baltimore homies to see what's up and we found out that Trapped Under Ice was going to be opening up the New Found Glory show that was going down in Baltimore. Our road dog Ad Ross kicked the van into high gear so that we could make it to the gig in time to catch them. After getting lost for a little while in Baltimore we finally made it a few minutes after TUI started. They were great as always. Kids were diving over the barrier onto a cemented front row of teenage girls. It was wild sight to see. Justice was groovin hard. He has the Ginuwine moves on lock. Anton Rough played a suprise set. I don't think the crowd knew how to take that haha. Klippa was full on hammered and it was only 7pm. He managed to spill a beer on Garrett and shout out Baltimore City hardcore over a million times. I always love seeing good friends that we barely get to hang with. It's one of the best things about tour. Shout outs to NFG for the Southern Comfort shots. After we watched Trapped Under Ice weird out 1200 screaming teens we made our way over to our show at The Ottobar. The show was rad. Surroundings opened up and they were awesome. They played a new song that was beyond heavy. I think they are going to be recording it soon for a new record. Be sure to check it out. The place filled out and got wild. Some kids got thrown out for diving. It happens. The Bronx murdered it as always. Knifeman is a song you should check out if you haven't already. We were supposed to have today off but days off aren't fun so we are going to be playing the Stelton Baptist Church in Edison, NJ tonight. An AV exclusive. Can't wait. NJ is always good to us. Grease trucks after the show. Be there.

Hope all is well.

See you soon.

East of Eden Update

Thanks to everyone who ordered East of Eden. It's now sold out. We will be shipping these as soon as they come in.

SXSW

The first leg of our journey started as the van (and a cloud of smoke) made its way steadily down Vanowen St in Reseda, California. It ended nearly 24 hours later in the busy streets of Austin, Texas. We made it. We watched in awe as the sea of bodies flooded downtown Austin, entering, exiting and re-entering each and every bar in sight. Normals packed the streets like sardines while others stood elbow to ass at Red 7 for the Madball show. It was St. Patrick's day in addition to the kick off night of SXSW and Austin show-goers were jaked on green beers. Most of the night was a greenish haze as we gathered our wits and decompressed from our recent drive. We met up with Nick Fit and spread out across the floor to catch up on some much needed sleep.

We took the indoor stage of Emo's at 3pm on Wednesday and promptly loaded across the street once our set was over. We were slated to play again at 1am that night. As Priestess closed their set and loaded out, we loaded up and began to tune. The set was short lived due to an altercation between Fit and a SXSW staff member during his part in Sacto is Dead, but the show was a load of fun. We continued partying into the wee hours of the morning.

We had Thursday off and spent the day popping in and out of the myriad of fantastic shows that were happening all over downtown, sometimes just a few feet from each other.

By Friday, we had only played two of our seven scheduled shows and had two more to compete before the sun arose on Saturday. The first show of the day was in the back yard area of a bar called 1808. Punks, dogs, parents and children stood side by side in the dirt as we set up. Surprisingly they were all still there when we finished... Even the parents. Late that night, after the Okkervil River show, we made our way to the corner of Lamar and Riverside streets where we were scheduled to play a guerilla show on a foot bridge with Vivian Girls and Annihilation Time. The show started at 3am and the electricity surging through the amplifiers was supplied by a generator. There were shoes and beers flying everywhere and I heard rumor of 8 separate fights. Surprisingly none were during our set (to my knowledge). By the time we had loaded back into the van,  it was nearly 5am and we were beyond ready for bed.

Our sleep was short lived as we arose at the crack of near-noon to prepare for our set at Mess With Texas Fest, which was held at Waterloo Park. The line-ups for both stages were stacked and the Sailor Jerry rum flowed like, well, like rum. Jones soda supplied the mixer and I'm pretty sure everybody of age had a rum and cream soda pass through their lips at some point during the day. We went on at a suitable time: 4:20; and proceeded to have what I thought was our best set at SXSW. Kanye West was playing down the street at the Fader/Levi Jeans party and I managed to score a pass through a very cute company rep, but Kanye began playing while we were loading out. Dreams: crushed. At 9:30 we made it to the outside stage at Red 7 where our second show was about to begin. We hit the stage at 10:40 and had to cut a couple songs from the set in order to make our next appearance down the street at 11. The 11 o'clock show was at a venue called Beerland which was, you guessed it, a bar. We arrived just in time to catch the last song of Annihilation Time's set and hurriedly lugged our gear to the stage, set up and started playing for the third time that night. Despite the first inklings of a hangover to come, the set was good and didn't make my head want to explode.  After the gig, a few of the guys went to the Vice party, while the rest of us rested on our merch bags, soaking in the street sounds and cool breeze.

Bands who killed it:
Annihilation Time
B.o.B.
The Bronx
Circle Jerks
Cursive
Deastro
Dillinger Four
Human Rights
Japanther
Jucifer
Little Boots
Okkervil River
Priestess

SXSW was dope and I can't wait to slam it again next year.

East of Eden..

Breaking News!
Trash Talk

Announce New EP Available for Pre-order Starting Today * US Tour w/ The Bronx * Australian and Japanese Tourdates and More!

Marching atop the rubble left behind by their last crushing release, Trash Talk plows methodically ahead with their latest offering: East of Eden. Recorded at Nieto Estudio with former Wet and Dry sound engineer, Manny Nieto, and enlisting the vocal talent of punk legend, Keith Morris (Circle Jerks, Black Flag, Midget Handjob), East of Eden picks up where the self-titled full length left off.

Slated to be their 7th release, the already highly anticipated single chronicles an underground race's furious return to

Earth's surface and their discovery that a New Eden has grown in its place. Too prideful to return to the depths, the army confronts and corrupts this Eden's inhabitants, returning Earth to its previous state of chaos.

* East of Eden is set to be Trash Talk Collective Release 004 and will be available for stream on Tuesday, March 17th at Trashtalkhc.com
