BACK FROM EUROPE.... LONG BLOG POSTS.. WHO CARES... READ MORE..

yo we(myself mostly) have been lackin on blog posts. i said i was going to post about all of the wild shit going down in europe but to be honest it was too wild to be thinking about a blogspot. im gonna pick it up where rashod left off and talk about some of the highlights of the trip. the show in trier was awesome. germany has tons of cool venues going on. germany has something going on that doesnt really exist in america. its like the wild huge youth centers with a million rooms and everything you can possibly imagine going on. huge festivals/tons of beer/skateparks/basketball anything you can imagine. the venue in trier let us sleep there after the show. they had bunk beds for everyone. we still had tons of beer left but the promoter left and the door was locked so we couldnt get to it. so me and alan(mongoloids drummer) set up a stack of about 4 tables and made a latter up to this window that was open and crawled through to obtain the left over beer. alan doesnt drink but he is down for a wild adventure. i was drunk as fuck trying to climb a latter of tables up to a barely open window 50 feet up in the air. it was pretty sketch but we pulled it off without any serious injuries. the next day we woke up early and headed to the show in belgium. our tour met up with the trapped under ice/lion of judah/dirty money tour. it was great to see good friends on a different continent. trapped under ice played and america got wild. bjorn rise and fall got knocked out. he blames it on rashod but who knows? fists were flying everywhere. steifs tooth got knocked out. shit was out of hand. rythm to the madness played a suprise set and killed it. shit was fucking heavy. people got hurt. ive heard alot about that band lately and it was awesome to be able to catch them while in europe. true colors played and it was some next level home town shit the whole place was singing along and going crazy. they have a good thing going on in belgium. shout outs to powered records. i dont remember our set that well. all i can really remember is there being blood in my eyes and it burning so bad i couldnt see. i tried to grab a water to rinse out my eyes on stage but it was a mess who knows. i found this picture from the show check it out:

we stayed at the venue in belgium that night. the place gave us way to many drink tickets and the bar stayed open till about 5 in the morning. i dont really remember but i guess in the middle of my sleep i woke up lifted up my matress and threw up and kept sleeping. i didnt get to shower the next day. you gotta keep it moving. we woke up the next morning and went and got some food. in europe we eat way to many french fries(freetz) because its all we really knew how to order and it was a safe bet. just order some fries and keep it moving. its simple and gets the job done. stay away from the curry ketchup. they put it on your FREETZ and you think its ketchup but its actually curry ketchup what a creeper. we played rosswein that night. the venue was another one of those wild german youth centers. 50 lions/bitter end and meltdown joined us on the gigger. it was a great show. here is a video of our set check it out for yourself:
Trash Talk - Rosswein 28.06.2008

after the rosswein show we had a long over night drive heading to the infamous pressure fest. it was a wild experience and it went alot better than we all thought it would be. for those of you who dont know what it is. its a huge hardcore/metal fest in europe. heres a picture i took off of their website to give you an idea of how big it is:

our set was awesome. there was a huge barrier but security wasnt trippin they let us do whatever we wanted for the most part. after the fest cold world/death threat/mongoloids and us all went and got these wild hotel rooms in germany. its pretty wild. its one of the smallest hotel rooms ive ever seen the shower is one room itself not attatched to the bathroom to safe room. it looks like its meant to be for a couple and their child. heres a picture so you can get an idea of how it looks:

the final game of the euro cup was going on while we were at the hotel. we all went out to a diner to eat and we ere talking to the waitress about going downtown and watching the game at a bar or something. she was telling us if germany wins itll be a good time and we can party/have fun but if they lose we will probably get the shit kicked out of us. germany lost. it was madness in the streets. we were walking around this sketchy street where they have these trailors and hookers just hang out in front of them and you get em and go into the trailor. the drummer of death threat had the best one liners that night. "suck my dick you fucking retard" it was amazing. such a good night. people were driving honking their horns waving flags screaming shit. i thought we might get shot or something. we saw these two german dudes walking down the street just punching everything in sight. they had their dog them jsut dragging it by its leash down the street. it was an insane sight. after that we went back to the hotel and aaron from death threat rolled another huge blunt and we all got insanely high. i think that was about the 3rd blunt that day. shit was wild. we drove 13 hours that night to vienna, austria. the show was in the cool basement type spot downtown. tons of kids came out we got fed well and we hung out with some cool kids. it was an all around good time. austria is a cool place for giggers. i suggest stopping through there if you ever get a chance. after the austria show we had to make the drive to florence, italy. it was another 13 hour drive or some shit. we had three long drives back to back it fucking sucked but we did get to go through some amazing sites. we passed through the alps on the way to italy. i remember waking up at some gas station and getting out to stretch and looking around and being surrounded by crazy mountains that look like this:

the show in italy that night was great. some hardcore kids came out to see us and the mongoloids but for the most part it seemed like people from the town were just there to see live music which was cool. we got fed some good pasta that night. some of the best food we had our whole european tour. there were some sketchy locals from around the neighborhook circling around the block all night so we had to keep a close eye on the van to make sure nothing wild happened but we ended up getting out of there without any problems. after the italy show we made our way back to belgium. it was a pretty fucked up few days for driving. i believe we went through somehting like 8 countries in 24 hours. it was insane. we played in ieper, belgium that night. the place was a cool small little bar in the center of town. ieper has a pretty big fest every year in their town. i saw a flyer for it was some insane line up with ssd and 2457638940 other bands. check it out for yourself... only in europe will you see shit like this going down:
after the show in ieper we stayed at our friend martijns house. we met him about a week before because he was driving bitter end around europe. good dude he fed us well and opened up his home to us what more could you ask for. the next show was in the almighty AMSTERDAM. i knew this day was going to be hard for us. weed is legal and theres no way that we werent going to get next level high. we did just that. garrett and i stopped into a coffeeshop(hunters) and got a gram of the wildest weed the dude had to offer(amnesia) and smoked it all.
the show was in the middle of the red light district. you literally turn the corner and are trapped in these crazy alley ways full of whores and sketch balls window shopping. the wonderful people from reflections records came out that night and hung out. it was good to hang with em and talk about shit. they brought the european version of our new LP with them. everything looks great and I cant wait to get it out. after the show some kids form the gig showed us and the mongoloids around the red light district. we were out looking for wild shit. it was a good night. cant wait to get back there in september with paint it black. i passed out next level high that night and we woke up in the morning went to another coffee shop smoked crazy then made our way to the show in raesfeld, germany. there was like 8 bands playing the show so it went by super long. the kid who did the show said something about it being the first hardcore show that place had ever had or something? the show itself was fucking amazing. it was one of the best shows of the tour. it came out of nowhere. the whole show was kinda slow then right when we hit the stage the place exploded. it was random and great. the kids from the town were super nice. the next show was in eindhoven, holland. the old guitar from no turning back organized the show. it was good to hang out with that dude. i booked them a show in sacramento on their first us trip and took them around so he returned the favor. the show was great. losing streak and said and done played. i had heard alot about said and done so i was siked to see them. they blew me away i didnt know what to expect but it was heavy and fast. good shit check them out if you havent already. the venue in eindhoven was insane it was this huge skatepark type place. there was a emerica skate promo that day so that was cool to watch. kids were killin it in the skatepark. there was 13 old kids flyin down rails on some next level shit. here is a few pictures so you can see what it looks like:

we stayed the night at a cool spot in eindhoven that night. the next morning our van wouldnt start and we spent all day in the small downtown area trying to get it working. we did everything form jumping it to calling mechanics to pushing it. it eventually got going after an all day hasstle. after it was fixed we made our way to the final show in belgium. it was the best show of the tour. it was in a place about 10x10 feet. there were kids flowing out of the doors. our set was insane. it was a perfect way to end the tour. losing streak played and killed it. the hometown vibe was in full effect. it was sad to see the mongoloids(some of em?) go. i had fun hanging out with those dudes for a few weeks. shout outs to snakeliardi. after the show the bar stayed opened and we partied all night in the streets. the locals kept telling us how you can do whatever you want cause the cops only come around like once ever 3 hours so we took full advantage of that and made the most of our last night in europe. the next day we woke up early and headed to another etap hotel by the brussels airport where we waited for our flight. after a flight from belgium to london/london to chicago/chicago to philly we are finally back in the good ol usa and it feels great. taco bell is the best thing ever invented. we are currently chillin at our roady nick fits house in new jersey waiting for our bass player to arrive. spencer is currently driving from california to new jersey so that we can start our tour on friday in boston. it will be good to see him it was a bummer not having him with us in europe cause he is a big part of our band. shout outs to the mongoloids/our drivers(sebastion/shifty/niko/etjen) and scuba steve from trap them for fillin in and holdin it down for spencer while he squared away some shit. i dont really have anything else to say. europe was alot better than we had all expected and we cant wait to get back there in september with paint it black. our new record comes out july 22nd. go order it from revhq.com. our us tour with iron age and cold world starts on friday come out and rage with us its going to be insanity. you cant put iron age and trash talk on the same tour that is just a recipe for disaster. ill be seeing you all very soon. sorry if there is mad typos in this shit im not going back to check it over. this is way to long. thanks for reading...

see you all soon.

Euroland Tour

So i made my journey from Richmond to Philly on the 16th by way of Greyhound bus to meet up with the rest of the band to prepare and leave for Euroland. The bus ride was alright, but greyhound as a whole sucks so bad. I finally got to philly at 12:50am and i couldnt get a taxi to Mook's house. They were so shitty but finally i got one. i got to mook's crib, chilled, watched mtv jams for a while then my dudes arrived. we chiled for a while longer and slept. Woke up the next day and practiced and organized shirts. Our homie Scuba Steve from Trap Them is filling n on bass and at practiced he nailed that shit. He's a beast. THen we get to the airport....what a pain in the ass, but it wasnt as bad as we expected it to be. Everything got sent thru, and we went thru security and it was all good. we ate McDonalds right before we got on the plane and it was so good. The flight from philly to Manchester was long and kind of stressful. one of the flight attendants was a bitch about G and Scuba wanting vegan meals, which we thought they were getting anyway. Well everything got taken care of and we all ate gross airplane food. after we ate, we watched movies and tv shows and listened to music and fell asleep. I barely slept in that uncomfy ass seat. We finally arrived in Manchester and it was raining and cold. We thought it was summer but nah that shit felt like fall. We got off the plane, and had to be walked to this little room to wait for a bus to take us to another terminal. We get the the terminal and G realizes that he forgot all of our boarding passes and his passport in the little room. The driver goes back and gets it all and we have to literally run to get on the plane. Well the dudes at the counter tells us that the flight is delayed and we can take our time. HA yo we look at the huge screen and that shit was NOT delayed and we start sprinting to the plane and they are about to shut the door and we start yelling at them telling them to hold up. They let us on the plane an people were looking at us like we were weirdos. I fell asleep before the plane even took off. We landed in London and it was chill, but then they told us our bags were still in Manchester. Of course at that point we were pissed cause that was our merch, clothes, and gear we brought over. Whatever, we chilled and got on our next and last flight to Brussels. Once again, i fell asleep before the plane took off. We landed and went thru customs then waited for our bags. One bag with my Snare and some clothes came thru but that was it. We went to the counter and they said that the bags were still in manchester and would prolly be at Brussels by 830pm. We walked out and Flip was chilin waiting for us and we didnt know he was picking us up, it was really weird. He takes us to his homie Stief's crib in Belgium which was real player. Its right in the middle of the redlight district. We were walking thru and my mind was blown. half naked broads just standing in windows wanting to get fugged real bad. WOW!! We walked around for hours and got lost but fund our way back. We walked and chilled in the redlight district for a long time and went to a few jerk booths....it was great and grimey...love it. 830 came around and the airport never called about our bags....sweet life. The next day, we woke up and showered and we walked out to our van and met our driver, Sebastian. What a great dude. From there, we drove to Holland for Trash Fest and met up with The Mongoloids. at first it was weird but then it was chill. we ate, met people and finally met the Reflections Family. What an awesome group of people. We finally played, and our set was insane. So wild for never playing Holland before, better yet not being in Europe before. YO G and i walked to a "coffee shop" and you can buy tree there. At a store you can buy tree. Shit was so crazy. After the show we had to drive overnight to the ferry to take to the UK. We were there early, but got on with no problems. It was weird but whatevs. Its so annoying when noone speaks the same language as you. We got to the UK and chilled and played the gig. It was cool. All the UK shows were pretty crazy. We werent expecting it at all. All of the shows have been awesome. Lastnight we played Paris, France. The show was cool i guess. That place made me hate Europe tho. Rude ass people everywhere and it was hot and we walked for like 5 hours or something. We saw Down To Nothing stickers all over the venue and that was a relief. There have been sooo many DTN shirts at every show. Great band, and my brothers. After the show we went and saw the Eifel tower and it was pretty wild. We went to McDonalds and got food then went to our sleeping place. Woke up, and started our journey to Germany. Pretty boring drive until we went thru a toll and got stopped at french customs. Noone spoke english. So dumb. We opened up the back and G was sleeping and he woke up and jumped out and they were so weirded out but then they let us go. Stopped us for no reason and didnt search a damn thing. Idiots. Now we are in Trier, Germany and one of the coolest venue's ive ever been to. Our tour package mets up with the Bitter End package and we play together tonight, we are stoked to see friends from the states in another country. Thats all we got for now, but keep them eyes open for more to come real real soon. New record out July 22nd, pick that shit up. Tour with Cold World and Iron Age coming up as son as we get home from Euroland. Peep www.myspace.com/trashtalkfu and www.trashtalkhc for updates and tour dates. If we are playing near you, come hang, and party. Bring beer, tree and whatever else can get you faded for them, and just Bring me cokes, cookies, cupcakes and brownies. SUP WIT IT..
Until next time..

one.

Babble in CA

At approximately 4:15 this morning, with yours truly at the helm, the Trash Talk cheese bus broke the invisible line between Oregon and the greatest state in the union... CALIFORNIA. I'm currently sitting in a plush, reclining leather computer chair on the outskirts of downtown Sacramento eagerly awaiting my 6 hour bus ride home to Bakersfield. The short jaunt pales in comparison to a great portion of the drives we had to make over the last few months. This tour was both exhausting and exhilarating and as my time away from home is growing shorter, I'm gonna miss the road.

I already miss:
*Garold, Elroy, Deshaun, JT and Fit
*Waffle House
*Surprise party favors
*TUI
*Victims
*Late night beers with complete strangers
*Friends new and old across the country
*Twink Talk with Jason T
*Noising the freaks of your town from the comfort of our van
*Cici's

I will not miss:
*Sleeping on the floor
*Riding in a hot van for 8 hours with a hangover
*Not showering
*Starving

Like usual, the positives outweigh the negatives and all is well in the world. If we missed your town this time, we'll be there soon. If we've already been to your town we'll be back. The past 78 days have been incredible, though I think I speak for everyone when I say it feels good to be home.

WICHITA/BOISE/DENVER/RAIN FEST.... TOUR IS OVER...

5/21: Wichita, KS - We got into Wichita super early so we got a hotel. The place let us do an early check in so that was cool to just hang out and catch up on some much needed rest. I guess there was a bunch of confusion about the show that night. It got moved from Hutchinson, KS to Wichita, KS. No one knew where the new venue was so all day we were trying to figure it out. We eventually figured it out and made our way down there for show time. We played this Eagles Hall last year with Modern Life Is War and it was fucking awesome so I was pretty excited about the show. The last time we were at that place we had the most epic firework battle with MLIW. They obviously lost because we are good at that kind of shit. Right when we showed up the show we did the usual load in/find a liquor store/make friends/party. Spencer and I caught a ride to the liquor with our friend Walker who we had met the last time we were in Wichita. We picked up some High Life 32's and made our way back to the venue. I always get caught in these wild situations where 10 minutes before we are about to play I am sitting in the van trying to hurry up and chug my beer. Whenever that happens I always end up throwing up. So literally 2 minutes before we are about to kick into our first song I can feel the foam coming up throat. I ran to the door and the second I got outside puke was flying everywhere. I got it all out of my system and went back into the gig. The show was fucking rad. A bunch of kids from Oklahoma drove out to the show. Blood was flying everywhere. Everyone that had a white shirt that night left with spots of red on their shirt. After the gig we went back to the hotel and I passed out.

5/22: Denver, CO - The next morning we woke up hella early and made the drive to Denver, CO. I was so siked to be heading further and further west. The weather was starting to get brutal. Some friends of mine from back home told me that California was basically a living hell because it was so fucking hot. Denver is always good to us. We have made tons of friends there through out the years so going there is always a blast. Right when we showed up we were greeted with open arms. Our friend Joey owns a pizza shop in Denver called Benny Blancos so he came through with 3 extra large cheese pizzas and a salad for the vegan. The pizza was so good. You should go get a slice if you are ever in Denver and looking for some good pizza. Theres nothing I appreciate more than people helping out bands on tour. No one has to do it so when they do help out its much appreciated. The gig that night was cool. I could barely breathe for some reason so I was having a pretty rough time. Right when we finished playing we had to load up fast and make the 12 hour drive to Boise, ID. I slept in the loft that night while Spencer and our roady Jason T made the drive. In the middle of the night I woke up because I heard people yelling and all this shit. I guess we were sliding down the freeway because we hit a patch of black ice. That shit is pretty fucking scary. The next day The Carrier told us they hit some black ice around the same area. Sketch...

5/23: Boise, ID - We got into Boise around noon and went over to Spencer's friend Sara's apartment. We all got showered up and caught some sleep after the hell drive we had that night. Sara and her room mate were kind enough to make us some corn on the cob (random.. but good). There was a bunch of confusion about the Boise show as well. It was the same deal. The show got moved and no one really knew where it was or what was going on. We eventually figured out where it was and made our way over there after chillin all day. It was a house show in a pretty nice neighborhood so I didn't think it was going to work out but it ended up going fine. No cops came to break up the party. We played in a tiny garage. Tons of kids came and packed it in up front. Singalongs were in full effect. I dove off of Garrett's guitar cab and smashed my back on the water heater. It didn't feel to good. There was some wild characters at the show. There was a girl with a shaved head/super short mohawk. She was going nuts. She had this wild flame swimsuit top on and she was slammin around the garage like Mudvayne was playing. She came up to us afterwards and said something along the lines of "You guys were great. I know a set is great when my titties pop out because my titties never pop out". It was pretty weird but it brought some good laughs. After the show was over we loaded up and made the drive to Seattle, WA for Rain Fest. The drive was about 8 hours and the fest started at 2 so we drove that night to make sure we would make it to the fest on time.

5/24-5/25: The Northwest(RAIN FEST) - We got into Seattle at 9 in the morning. We went over to our friend Harris's house to hang out before the gig. We chilled out there for awhile then once everyone was ready we went into the city. 2 of the people with us have never been to Seattle before so the first thing we did was go to Dicks for some burgers then over to the Lusty Lady. Going to the Lusty Lady is a must if you are in Seattle. After everyone released some tension we wandered around the city for a few hours before heading to Tacoma for the fest. We hadn't played the NW in about a year so I was super siked to play. The fest was awesome. It was a long day. It was so long that I got drunk then sobered up then got drunk again then sobered up again then had a hang over then got drunk again. A bunch of friends bands from Northern California played so it was cool to hang out with them since we haven't seen them in awhile. Shout outs to Ceremony/Sabertooth Zombie/Life Long Tragedy/Skin Like Iron. Those four bands killed it. Our set was wild. It was a great way to end our 2 month spring tour. The northwest is a fun place to gig. I love it up here. After the show we got a hotel and passed the fuck out. The next morning we got some food at Quickies in Tacoma. That place never fails. It is a vegan restaurant with some of the best food around. We got there just in time for brunch. After filling our stomachs we made our way over to the show. That day was spent just getting fucked up to be honest. We didn't have shit to do. Tour is over. I watched a ton of bands kill it. Northern California was in full effect. After Ceremony played Zed, Ross and myself decided to climb this crazy factory behind the venue. I was so drunk that it probably wasn't a good idea but we did it anyways. There is a great view of the city up there so if you're ever at The Viaduct in Tacoma you should go climb all over that factory. After fucking around for an hour or so we all went over to our friends house and hung out. It was a party. I went to go make a phone call outside and I fell face first on the ground. It was about that time I decided I should just go pass out in the van. I woke up today with the worst hang over ever. Rain Fest as a whole was fucking awesome and I'm glad we got a chance to be apart of it. Tour is now over. I'm sitting at our friends house in the Seattle area hanging out. We are going to make the drive back to Sacramento on wednesday for now we are just enjoying a break. We will be heading to europe in about 3 weeks. If you live in europe you should come check out a show. It is our first time overseas so show us a good time. I'll be updating this blog with crazy stories while I'm at home. Home life is just as crazy as tour life....

We put up a new song from our upcoming LP.. It's called "Dig"... If you haven't had a chance to listen to it yet you should go do that right now... www.myspace.com/trashtalkfu

Thanks America for making this Spring tour so good... It was a fucking blast and I can't wait to get back here in July and do it all over again.. Shout outs to Nick Fit/Jason T./Trapped Under Ice/Coliseum/Victims/The Carrier and Hostage Calm...

Hope all is well with you and I'll see you soon...
